Quality Assurance (QA) Operator (2nd & 3rd shifts)

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Required to understand the proper us of calipers, depth and force gages, micrometers, profile, tool makers microscope, CMM machine and height gage.
  • Responsible for the visual, functional and dimensional testing of connectors, terminals and assemblies using the specified methods and frequencies.
  • Understand and test frequency standard and related check sheets. 
  • Knowledge of reject tag procedure, quarantine procedure and BPCS scan procedures.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Department Leader, Coordinator, or Supervisor.
  • Responsible for daily entry of dimensional measurements into computer in compliance with applicable procedures.
  • Must be able to read/write/comprehend work instructions as the job has detailed instructions to follow.
  • Must be able to work alone at times and maintain motivation with little supervision (weekend shifts).
  • Must be able to work well with others (shift changes/other departments).
  • Demonstrate accuracy in completing check sheets and other paperwork.
  • Maintain the work area/equipment in a clean/ orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Pass color blindness test and vision screening.
  • Pass defect drop test.
  • Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of materials (25 - 35 lbs.)
  • Walk, stand, lift, bend and reach regularly.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the QA Operator position.
  • Must wear all required PPE (ex. bump caps, safety toe shoes, safety glasses) and other PPE items that situations, locations or tasks may dictate (ex. Masks, ear plugs, harness, gloves, aprons, etc.).
